Caring for a child with special needs can be an enormous responsibility, financially, physically and mentally. Many families have to exist on benefits, unable to take on paid work because of the demands of providing round the clock care for a highly dependent child. Such families rarely, if ever, get the chance to take a holiday together.

Happy Days will pay for a special needs youngster and their family to go on holiday. This gives the whole family a break and gives them the opportunity to enjoy quality time together in an environment which can cater for their child's disabilities.

We had a lot of fun together as a family, Jordan ’s Dad got to spend more time with them and do more bonding. While on holiday Jordan held his sister’s hand for the first time which was fantastic.

Access for the disabled was excellent on the site. The funding from Happy Days took away the financial pressures from us and we were able to spend quality time as a family. Lisa’s confidence has grown as she was able to get around the site by herself without any problems with her wheelchair. The staff were excellent.

The whole holiday was excellent, accommodation beautiful, clean and very comfortable. The holiday would never have been possible without your help and I just cannot thank you enough for putting a smile on a poorly child’s face. Her face lit up and Aleesha felt happy and relaxed. Thank you.

Paul thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the holiday and there was plenty for him to do. Paul and I spent time swimming together. We also enjoyed playing pool which he won! He particularly enjoyed painting pottery and was quiet for a full hour!
